Highbury Design with experience across Government sectors and working abroad on ‘modern methods of construction’ have worked on various healthcare modular buildings from building a decant ward to enable a NHS Trust to maintain its Foundation status with a building design and operational in three months as a £2 million project, to various ancillary buildings for office and support facilities in various locations.

The organisation have build up an strong track record in temporary buildings and modular health centres, understanding how enabling packages with lead up services work with modular supplies and end bespoke fit out packages.

Following the evolving development of vaccines for the Covid-19 pandemic in September 2020, Highbury Design were appointed as project managers and architects to lead the mass vaccination programme for the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, working with the primary and mental healthcare Trust, Vaccination UK, South Worcestershire Healthcare, Taurus Healthcare, the county councils, and the armed forces.

The company with its experience of modular building and the exhibition industry were appointed to review different site options which evolved into converting a 1,500 sq ft performance theatre in Bromsgrove with three floors to cope with three different types of vaccines using an exhibition company to convert the building with a way finding system developed for rapid circulation and processing.

Another site at Worcester saw a church hall converted, with mobile solutions and conversion of a shop in Hereford. At Malvern Three Counties Showground, a modular village was created with Portakabin using call off with a national framework with an 80 space car park formed to meet cross county needs as one of the first available such centres in December of that year.
